Style Your Wall with Classical black and White Decor

Black and white wall decor can be included as one of the most famous styles among the homeowners. This two colors are perfect when we want to bring a classical yet modern atmosphere to our house. What more exciting about this is that we can add other bright colors like red, yellow, or blue without ruining the harmony. That could happen if we do not exaggerate it. Anyway, this type of decor is not simply about painting our wall in black and white. There are other better ways on how to use these two colors.

Black and White Photos

The first one is using black and white photos. Family, landscape, plants, or animal photos does not matter as long as they are black and white. About the framing, the pictures must be smaller than the frame. So, the picture will have a white background and then be framed with black casing. Place all of these pics on the light or dark grey wall. The reason why it has to be grey is because it will neutralize the other two colors. As a result, none of them will accentuate each other.

Silhouetter Wall Stickers

The next black and white wall decor is wall sticker. If we have a white or black wall, then that is the right spot to place wall stickers with the opposite color. About the stickers, there are many themes we can choose. For forest theme, we can use stickers in shape of birds, trees, flowers, butterflies, or squirrels. For metropolitan theme, we can use tall building stickers complete with stars and a moon to describe a night moment. The two themes we mention are quite common. For those who have eccentric personality, stickers in graffiti design is a great option.

Black and White Connected Painting

Connected painting is getting well-known recently. This type of painting has one image but is divided into several parts. Sometimes each one of them has the same size, but other times they are in different size (not all of them). In the mean time, as black and white decor, the painting must contain those colors. A night view in the ocean would be a great example. The sky is painted in grey and black, white the moon is white with soft grey spots. The sea is colored in black with wavy white as the reflection of the moon. This view is separated into five parts (two small, two medium, and one large). The largest one is in the middle, the medium flank it, and the small ones are placed on each outer side. This type of black and white wall decor is surely one good consideration for our beloved home.
