How to Build Letter Wall Decor

Materials needed

Following are materials you will need to create letter wall décor. Make sure you have gathered them all before starting to make any.

• Four MDF pieces with 5.5”x4” of 1/8” thick

• Piece of plywood with ¾“ of 2×4

• Hot glue

• Wood glue

• thread of globe string lights

• spray adhesive

• 120 of grit sandpaper

• Paint

• Wrapping paper

• Poster board

• Jigsaw

• Smooth-finish paint roller

• Drill

• Staple gun

• Picture wire

• Miter saw

• Screwdriver

• Screw or eye hooks

• ½“ round drill morsel

• ¾“ paddle drill morsel

• Tape measure

• Pencil or pen

Instructions

• Before making your wall décor, it would be better to choose what kind of font and letter to be applied to your wall. in fact, you will have two selections at this point. In case you prefer freehand drawing the design of letter or font, and then do it. However, if you desire something neater, then print a letter image in full size out.

• After transferring the full size image of the letter, then attach it to the plywood and then cut it out using a jigsaw. To get precise cut, t would be better to go steady and slow as well. if he letter you choose has center hole, consider using ½“ morsel to rill the starting point o enable you cutting out the middle.

• To elevate it off from the ground, you will need to put something beneath the surface. besure that you place a stable surface to elevate it. Measure up the distance between the sting along with the bulb. Mark the spots where you are going to drill the holes on the letter along with the light socket. Drill the holes with ¾“paddle drill morsel.

• Use a measure tape and a jigsaw to cut out the MDF in order around the d curves. Staple the MDF afterward. Use a poster board for the center hole which is usually easier to bend. The letter should be 3D in the front and the back.
